About our Creative Sessions
Here at Studio Art Cafe Putney, we offer a wide range of creative sessions for everyone, from 3-year-olds to adults. We believe in the importance of expressing ourselves creatively, freeing our imaginations, and most of all, having fun! Whether you are a seasoned artist or a fresh explorer, our diverse creative sessions cater to all abilities. Our creative therapist kicks off each session to inspire you, and then you are free to embark on the creative journey by yourself. Join us and step into the world of fun artistic expression.
On top of the sessions listed on our website, we always have a range of seasonal creative sessions available in our studio. If you are struggling to decide which session to book, we can always swap it on the day for another session and adjust the costs accordingly. Each session is scheduled in for 2 hours to ensure everyone enjoys a relaxed and fulfilling creative experience without feeling rushed to complete their masterpiece.
1. Sip, Paint & Create Session
Join us every Wednesday or Thursday from 7-9 PM for a delightful
Sip, Paint & Create session.
During the session, you'll create your own painted canvas to take home. You’ll have the chance to explore painting, collage, and sculpture using materials like fabric, paper, and found objects to make your own unique piece of art.
We offer a range of themes to choose from whether you want to paint flowers, create your own fruit-themed artwork, or try out 3D mixed media art, it's all available.
Simply book your Sip & Paint slot, and on the evening, you can decide which theme you'd like to work on. No experience needed. Just come along, enjoy the process, and get creative!
When: Every Wednesday or Thursday from 7:00pm - 9:00pm
What to bring? Just yourself! We'll provide all the materials you need to unleash your creativity.
What you'll take home? A beautifully crafted Artwork!
2. Pottery Ceramic Creative Sessions
Join us for a relaxed and inspiring creative experience in our pottery studio!
You’ll find a wide selection of ceramics to choose from — mugs, plates, vases, figurines, animals, boxes, cars and more. Each one is a blank canvas ready for your personal touch.
When you book a session, you’ll pay a £6.00 studio fee per person, which covers all materials, glazing, and firing of your masterpiece.
The total cost depends on the pottery items you choose on the day — our ceramic pieces start from £9.

What’s Included

This is a creative session, not an art class — no pressure, no rules, just fun!
We’ve got stencils, stamps, and inspiration books to help spark your imagination and get those creative ideas flowing.
Once you’ve finished painting, simply leave your piece with us. We’ll glaze and fire it in our kiln, and it’ll be ready for collection in 12 days.
Prefer delivery? We’re happy to ship your item for an additional cost. While we can’t take responsibility for any breakages, we’ll make sure it’s carefully wrapped and protected.
We’ll keep your finished items for 30 days after your session date. After that, any uncollected pieces will be donated to a local charity in Putney.

3. Xmas Baubles Creative Session

4. Fluid Bear Session & Balloon Dog
In this unique session, you’ll explore the mesmerizing process of fluid art by choosing to pour vibrant paints onto either a specially crafted bear or a balloon dog. You can decide which technique to use: decorate with pouring acrylic paint, use brushes for detailed designs, or express yourself with deco markers. This hands-on experience allows you to create a stunning piece of 3D art that you can take home, making it a perfect blend of creativity and fun.
Inspired by the viral trends on TikTok, our sessions are designed for families, team-building activities, and kids' birthday parties. Everyone will enjoy the joy of pouring and watching their creations come to life!
What to Expect:
1. Creative Choice: Select between a bear or a balloon dog to decorate, and choose your preferred technique. We have just received many new figures in our studio as well that you can choose from so you can always swap your bear or balloon dog in our studio on the day for another figure and we can adjust the costs accordingly.
2. Drying Time: Your masterpiece will stay in our studio for three days to ensure proper drying. We’ll notify you when it’s ready for pickup.
3. Delivery Option: Prefer convenience? We can arrange delivery for an additional fee.

5. Phone Case Decoration Session
Customise your world with our Cream Gel Phone Case Decoration Session. Personalize your phone case to reflect your style and personality. With this session, you will get a taste of the oh-so-delicious, but unfortunately inedible whipped cream style of decoration known as Decoden. You will start out by designing your decoration in stencil before jumping right into the piping process. From here, you’ll choose two colours and begin bringing your design to life in glorious 3D. We provide all the glitter, charms and sprinkles you need to make your tasty-looking creation to shine as bright as you wish. This lovely session combines fun and creativity for a memorable experience.

9. Hama Beads Session
In this engaging Hama beads creative session, you'll learn how to create colourful designs that can be transformed into charming key rings or decorative pieces. Using a rainbow of tiny beads, you'll craft personal masterpieces that reflect your imagination—from adorable animals and soaring airplanes to beautiful flowers and beyond.
This enjoyable activity welcomes crafters of all skill levels. The simple yet absorbing process of placing beads to form patterns provides a wonderfully satisfying creative experience, perfect for both beginners and experienced crafters alike.
During this hour-long session, you'll explore pattern-making techniques while working with a vast selection of vibrant Hama beads. Your instructor will guide you through the process, showing you how to bring your ideas to life and helping you perfect your designs. Feel free to make multiple pieces—there's no limit to what you can create!

11. Customize Your Own Clothing Session
Unleash your inner fashion designer in our Customize Your Clothing session! Whether it's a beloved coat that needs a fresh touch or a plain t-shirt ready for a makeover, this session is your chance to transform your wardrobe with your own unique flair. We provide everything you need, including stencils and special fabric paint, to help you create stunning, one-of-a-kind designs.
You can also add up to 20 charms to your piece, giving it that extra special, bespoke touch. Our wide variety of charms ensures that you'll find the perfect accents to complement your design, making your clothing truly stand out.

Time: 1.5 hours
Age: Recommended for ages 5 and up. All ages are welcome, but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Attendees Should Bring:
Your chosen piece of clothing (e.g., a t-shirt, jacket, or any piece of clothing you wish to decorate) Please ensure that the item you bring is made of jeans fabric or hard cotton. No soft-wear knitwear, please.
12. Seasonal Xmas Ceramic Creative Session
Get into the festive spirit with a relaxed and creative Christmas pottery experience in our cosy creative studio!
Choose from a wide range of holiday-themed ceramics. Christmas trees, baubles, Santa figurines, snowmen, reindeer, festive mugs, plates, and more. Each one is a blank canvas ready for your personal touch and holiday sparkle!
